Grand Traverse Resort welcomes pets
ACME – The Grand Traverse Resort & Spa is going to the dogs.
The first-class resort has become pet-friendly with the addition of its newest facility dubbed The Dog House-The Ultimate Dog Retreat. The facility is an actual house located on the Resort's grounds that was converted for use as a place of recreation and rest for pet dogs while their owners stay at the Resort, plus limited day care for dogs is also available.
The Dog House-The Ultimate Dog Retreat is designed with a social environment for dogs, so they can play together in three separate play/slumber rooms or in the grassy fenced yard. Each room has special rubberized flooring that is easy on the paws, and each room has immediate access to an outdoor potty area. Plenty of toys to entertain and delight are provided, as are cozy beds for dogs to rest and sleep. The staff provides walks.
Guests have access to visit their pet anytime during their stay, because the facility is staffed 24 hours-a-day, seven days a week. Owners also may take their pets out for a day-trip or outing. Owners are required to bring their own food from home, plus any medications. All dogs must be spayed or neutered, be at least 6-months old, have all current vaccinations including Bortadella, and must have a topical flea preventative.
